Description
OpenSCAD is a popular modeling tool in the Open Source 3d printing community. It is especially well-suited to programmers, as it expresses the Constructive Solid Geometry in the form of a script, much like software source code. This allows using version control systems and other software development principles, such as the legal frameworks of the Open Source community.
I will teach the participants to model objects with OpenSCAD. The participants are encouraged to bring their ideas of what they want to model, broken parts they need a replacemen for, etc.
Requirements for attendees
In order to participate, you will need:
- a computer with OpenSCAD
Optionally, bring:
- samples or ideas of what you want to design,
- Measuring tools, such as vernier calipers, rulers.
