Amazing yet unexplained events in human history

I'll talk about events in our history which really fascinate historians and yet don't have clear explanation. Things like "Dancing Plague" where people were dancing till heart failure or about machine which was created 100 years before the birth of Christ, and more than 1,000 years before anything even approaching its level of technological complexity.
